We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.

For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.

Sydney Catholic School Parent Charter

Parents always influence the moral development of their children…it follows that they should take up this essential role and carry it out consciously, enthusiastically, reasonably and appropriately…”

– Pope Francis, Excerpt from Amoris Laetitia (The Joy of Love)

The intention of the Sydney Catholic Schools Parent Charter is to outline the principles and expectations that underpin the relationship between parents and schools as we work together to build school communities based on our enduring values of faith, hope and love. At St Mary’s, we deeply value the relationship we have with our parent community and look forward to working with our parents every day to ensure the educational, emotional and spiritual well being of our students.

Parents of St Mary’s
We are a family-friendly school committed to collaboration and partnership with our parents and the wider community. Parents and caregivers are essential, highly valued and represented in various ways including fundraising, hospitality, reading groups and excursion support. Parent forums are held regualry in which parents can contribute and have their voice heard in regards to various aspects of school life and community.

Parents can order lunch for their children on Wednesdays and Fridays. ‘Welcome Easy‘ provides a variety of lunches, drinks and snacks for the students to enjoy. Orders can be placed using the ‘Welcome Easy’ online ordering platform.
